We understand that visiting the dentist can be daunting, which is why we use our experience and expertise to assist you in dealing with any anxiety that you may have about visiting us.
If you have not been to the dentist for a long time, don’t feel embarrassed, we have seen this many times. We help lots of people who have not seen a dentist for years. We don’t want you to feel self-conscious and we will never be disapproving or judgemental.
Before your visit we suggest you
- Tell the receptionist when you book that you are a nervous patient. Our receptionists are used to this and will offer help and advice.
- Try choosing an early appointment if you can so that you don’t think about it too much before your visit.
- You could bring a friend or family member with you to support you.
- Let your dentist know you are nervous and talk about how it makes you feel, they can support you.
We will be empathetic to your needs and support you through your dental appointments. If you haven’t been to the dentist in a while we are happy for you to just come in and visit us, look around and meet some of the team, before you even have any dental treatment. That takes the pressure off.
